The decision of the City and Region (better: the mayor and governor) of Venice and its candidate to host the Olympic Games 20,020 puts the city again, the lagoon and the hinterland in the face of projects enormous environmental impacts of urban transformations intended to disrupt the social fabric. We know what are the various domesticated Street, Vas, Vinca and how little they cost certifications, licenses issuing sustainability plans and projects devastating. We can not trust the assurances of the promoters. We will say that the Olympics are an "opportunity" to do useful things to the city. Instead Venice will once again be used as a showcase of huge events that endanger its preservation and have nothing to do with the real interests of its inhabitants. Just as the inhabitants of the "metropolis" common sort of disorderly Mestre, Padua and Treviso. The Olympics are only for those who build, television stations that transmit to the sponsors who promote them, politicians, emperors who bless the crowds from the stands of the stadiums of honor. For the territories there are only piles of concrete, infrastructure unusable green areas affected. We also say that the Olympics are the relaunch of the 'economy'. In contrast, the current crisis is the daughter economy of waste and speculation. The few economic resources available to go to protecting the environment, features, standards of social services, the real daily needs of the "good life".
